We will begin our Spring Session of Leaders School with a Welcome/Potluck on Thursday March 29, 2012 at St. Pius X.

Sessions are held at St. Pius High School (except  where noted)

January 5 - How Much is Enough? - Based on the book How Much Is Enough? Hungering for God in an Affluent Culture by Arthur Simon. We may think we’re good stewards, but how can we be even better? Simon diagnoses Western civilization as sick with "affluenza," or runaway materialism, and shows us how to reject the disease and set new priorities. Presenter: Faye M. Smith

January 12 - HOLY CROSS Church In Tucker Location  -  Purgatory: The Place Between Heaven and Hell? “I would go so far as to say that if there was no purgatory, then we would have to invent it, for who would dare say of himself that he is able to stand directly before God?” –Pope Benedict XVI. What are the Church’s teachings about Purgatory? What are your thoughts? Presenter: Fr. Dan Fleming

Janaury 19 - We are half way into our winter session of Leaders School. Last week you heard the first presentation in our Trilogy; Purgatory-The Place between Heaven & Hell.  Our Trilogy continues this Thursday, January 19th with the presentation: Hell: The Eternal Fire---Or Not? Questions to consider: What does the Bible say about hell? What is your concept of hell? How do we reconcile a merciful God with a God who may pass eternal judgment? Is hell a concept to help “keep people in line?” Presenter: Fr. Eric Hill

January 26 - Heaven: Our Final Destination? What can we “know” about heaven, based on Biblical references? Is it a specific place, an eternal abode? “In my Father’s house, there are many mansions.” (John 14:2) Was Christ referring to different “levels” of heaven? Presenter: Fr. Jerome McKenna
