Ultreya
A Joyful Gathering of the Cursillo Community
The word Ultreya comes from the Spanish pilgrims who encouraged one another on the long road to Santiago de Compostela: “Ultreya!” - meaning onward, keep going, persevere!
In the Cursillo Movement, Ultreya is a regular gathering where the wider community comes together in faith and fellowship. These gatherings are filled with prayer, joy, and authentic sharing. At each Ultreya, a fellow Cursillista offers a brief witness talk about living their Fourth Day - how Christ is working in their life and in the world around them. It’s a chance for the rest of us to be uplifted, inspired, and reminded of our own call to bring Christ into our daily environments.
Whether you attend every month or drop in occasionally, Ultreya is a vital reminder that none of us walks this path alone. Together, we press onward - renewed in spirit and strengthened by one another.
